Cookie Policy

1. Summary

We use a small number of cookies to keep the Service secure, to remember your preferences, and to understand how customers use the product so we can improve it. We do not use advertising cookies, and we do not sell cookie data to data brokers. The full list of cookies we set is in section 4.

2. What are cookies?

A cookie is a small text file that a website asks your browser to store and then send back to the website on subsequent requests. Cookies are widely used to make websites work, to remember your preferences, and to provide information to the website operator. Some cookies are first-party(set by Lexradar directly); others are third-party (set by a service provider on our behalf).

Cookies can be session cookies (deleted when you close your browser) or persistent cookies (kept for a defined period or until you delete them). The legal framework that governs cookies in the UK is the Privacy and Electronic Communications (EC Directive) Regulations 2003 (PECR).

3. Consent

Under PECR, cookies that are strictly necessary for the operation of a service do not require your prior consent. All other cookies — including analytics cookies — do. On your first visit we show a cookie banner that records your choice; you can change it at any time from Account → Cookie preferences in the product, or by clearing thelexradar_consent cookie in your browser.

4. Cookies we use

The table below lists every cookie we set on the Lexradar domains. The provider field tells you who sets the cookie. The typecolumn tells you whether the cookie is essential, functional, or analytics. The duration column shows how long the cookie lives before your browser deletes it.

Some of the cookies listed above are scoped to the authentication subdomain (app.lexradar.co), which is why their names begin with sb-. The marketing site (www.lexradar.co) sets only the lexradar_consent and (if you sign up) the Supabase auth cookies.

5. Essential cookies

Essential cookies are those required for the Service to function at all: keeping you signed in, protecting against cross-site request forgery, and remembering your cookie preferences. They do not require your consent under PECR. The Service cannot work without them.

The Supabase authentication cookies are set on the .lexradar.codomain so that your session is shared between the marketing site and the application. They are signed JWTs; we do not store any personal data in them beyond your user ID and a session expiry timestamp.

6. Functional cookies

Functional cookies remember small choices you make so that the Service behaves the way you want it to. For example, if you switch to dark mode or select a preferred jurisdiction ordering, we store that in a cookie so we don't ask you again on every page load. Functional cookies are off by default; we only set them after you have made the choice.

7. Analytics cookies

We do not currently use third-party analytics cookies on either the marketing site or the application. Product analytics are collected server-side from application logs (see our Privacy Policy), and error monitoring is handled by Sentry with PII redaction applied at the client.

If we add an analytics cookie in the future, we will update this page and re-prompt you for consent before it is set.

8. Advertising cookies

We do not place advertising cookies, do not run retargeting pixels, and do not allow third-party advertising networks to set cookies on our domains. We have no advertising-related business model.

9. How to manage cookies

You can manage cookies in several ways:

• In-product. If you are signed in, go to Account → Cookie preferences to change your choice at any time.
• Browser controls.All modern browsers let you block or delete cookies, or warn you before a cookie is set. See your browser's help pages (Chrome, Firefox, Safari, Edge) for instructions. Note that blocking essential cookies will prevent the Service from working.
• Private browsing. Using your browser in private or incognito mode limits which cookies are stored but does not stop essential cookies from being set for the duration of the session.
• Mobile device settings. iOS and Android let you reset your advertising identifier or limit ad tracking from system settings.

10. Updates to this policy

We will update this policy whenever the set of cookies we use changes. The Last updated date at the top will be revised, and for material changes we will surface a notice in the product before the new cookies are set.
